Project Summary
The Department of Education is planning a major capital works upgrade at Coolah Central School. This project will replace the existing metalwork facility currently on site and proposes the construction of a new shared wood and metal technology workshop.
February 2017 Update
The project team has developed a number of concept designs which were presented to the Project Reference Group (PRG). The PRG has recommended a preferred design which will now be further developed by the Architect.
The project now moves into the schematic design phase where room configuration and furniture layouts are developed, and initial colour schemes selected. In addition, the wider school and local community can now review and comment on the proposed design.
The concept drawings will be displayed in the school reception foyer. A consultation booth will also be held in the main street of Coolah, where the project team can be asked specific questions and feedback can be provided via a comment sheet. The location and time for the consultation booth will be published in the school newsletter and the Coolah District Diary.
The project milestone achieved for this period was the endorsement of a preferred concept and facility location by the PRG.
